Cookies and browser storage
This policy explains how MTRC Golf, LLC uses cookies and similar technologies on mtrcgolf.app and app.mtrcgolf.app, including swing reviews, the drill library and the web portal. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small records a website stores in your browser and may receive on later requests. Local storage keeps information in your browser between visits. Session storage usually lasts for the current tab. Some browsers restore session data when reopening tabs.
The tools used depend on what you do: browsing the main website, signing in, uploading a swing or opening checkout use different services.
Storage that supports the service
Guest-upload security · 24 hours
__Secure-mtrc-review-guest is an MTRC cookie on app.mtrcgolf.app. It helps limit abusive upload requests without requiring an account. It is sent only to the swing-review API, uses a secure connection and cannot be read by page scripts.
Your submission · current tab
mtrc-swing-review:live is session storage. It holds the submission reference, a private access token and your review choice so the same tab can resume your upload or return from checkout. Starting a new submission clears it. Clearing this storage can interrupt access to an unfinished guest submission.
Account sign-in · current session
Firebase Authentication uses browser storage to keep you signed in to the web portal. MTRC configures sign-in for the current browser session or tab. Signing out clears the sign-in state. Apple and Google may use their own cookies when you choose their sign-in services. Guest swing submissions do not require an account.
Privacy preference · used for 90 days
mtrc-review-marketing-v1 is local storage that remembers whether you allowed or declined optional Meta and Google tracking. We ask again when the saved choice is older than 90 days. Local storage has no automatic browser expiry, so the saved record can remain until it is replaced or you clear site data.
Website and review measurement
The main website uses Framer’s built-in analytics to measure visits, page views, referral sources and broad device or country information. Framer states that this analytics service does not use cookies or persistent visitor identifiers.
The swing-review portal also has MTRC’s own measurement system. It records steps such as viewing an offer, starting an upload and reaching checkout, along with referral or campaign information and a broad device category. It keeps the displayed offer consistent and helps compare different versions of the review flow. A visit can be linked to a submission and its payment outcome; this is not anonymous aggregate-only tracking.
MTRC visitor cookie · up to 30 days
mtrc-review-analytics-live is a secure, script-inaccessible cookie on app.mtrcgolf.app, sent to /api. It contains a signed visitor identifier and an offer assignment. The visitor identifier is valid for 30 days from creation; the browser cookie is set with a 30-day lifetime.
MTRC visit reference · current tab
mtrc-review-visit:live is session storage. The review flow reuses its visit reference for up to 30 minutes. The record can remain in the tab until it is replaced or the session ends. Corresponding visit records on our server are scheduled for cleanup after 90 days.
Current control limit: MTRC’s own review-measurement cookie and visit storage operate before, and independently of, the optional-tracking choice. “Decline optional tracking” controls Meta and Google; it does not disable MTRC’s review measurement. Your browser’s site-data controls can block or remove this storage.
Optional Meta and Google tracking
On the public swing-review page, Meta Pixel and Google Analytics are enabled only after you allow optional tracking, or when a still-valid saved permission is applied. You can submit a swing and buy a review without allowing them. A supported Global Privacy Control signal is treated as a decline for these integrations.
Google Analytics measures review-page visits. Its cookies include _ga and _ga_<container-id>. Google’s documented default cookie lifetime is two years, although browser limits and provider settings can shorten it. Our page configuration disables Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals.
Meta measures review-page activity, upload starts, checkout starts and purchases. It can use _fbp and _fbc identifiers. With permission, purchase information may also be sent from our server, including the amount, currency and a hashed email address for matching. Hashing does not make an email anonymous. Swing videos and coaching notes are not included in these marketing events. Meta controls the lifetimes and handling of its cookies and received data; see its policy below.
Checkout, security and external services
Payments open in Stripe-hosted checkout. Stripe uses cookies and similar technologies for functions such as checkout, fraud prevention and remembering payment preferences. The cookies and retention periods depend on the checkout features you use and are explained in Stripe’s policy.
Cloudflare Turnstile checks guest-upload requests for automated abuse. It processes browser and device signals for security. Some Cloudflare challenge configurations use a cf_clearance cookie; this is not a marketing cookie, and it is not necessarily set during every Turnstile check.
Links to Instagram, other social networks, the App Store and external videos open services with their own privacy and cookie policies. This policy does not control the cookies those services set on their own websites.
Managing your choices
On the swing-review page, use “Decline optional tracking” or “Allow optional tracking.” After choosing, select “Privacy choices” to change your decision. These controls apply to Meta and Google on that browser. To change a choice on another device or browser, use the controls there too.
Declining stops future optional tracking through those integrations. It does not undo data already sent. The page attempts to remove its Meta cookies when tracking is disabled. Existing Google cookies may remain until they expire or you remove them using your browser’s settings.
You can block cookies or clear cookies and website data in your browser. To remove MTRC browser data fully, check both mtrcgolf.app and app.mtrcgolf.app. Blocking all storage can affect sign-in, upload security and resuming a submission. Deleting cookies does not delete a submitted video, payment record or account; contact us for help with those requests.
We update this page when our use of cookies or storage changes. For questions about this policy or your information, email Support@MTRCGolf.app.
